What does a comma eclisepes and parentheses do within a sentence?

Using (commas) within a sentence seems to me to be a break within the sentence as we speak (like we are thinking about what to add or say). What about the the astrophe! It would seem the puncuations are marks that equal to speech? It seems I have misunderstood there place in a sentence. If this is the case then I have misunderstood that these marks are copying speaking words? Somewhat like synonyms that also relate to the core word? pljames
