What does "a booking" mean?

When you say you have "a" booking, does that mean you have one room reserved or could a booking consist of more than one room. If so would you say
I have a booking for 3 rooms.
If you wanted to cancel one of the rooms your booking, would you say : I would like to cancel the double room of my booking and keep the other 2 rooms.

Is it correct to say
Does your booking consist of more than one room?

I know you can cancel a booking, but is it natural to cancel a room if you have more than one room inside your booking.

Thank you

A booking is the entry the hotel has written in its book of reservations. If that's three room, then it's three rooms. Since the booking is the entire reservation, to avoid confusion, say "I'd like to change my reservation.
