What do you think of my American accent?
This is my attempt at an American accent. The text I'm reading:
Please call Stella. Ask her to bring these things with her from the store: Six spoons of fresh snow peas, five thick slabs of blue cheese, and maybe a snack for her brother Bob. We also need a small plastic snake and a big toy frog for the kids. She can scoop these things into three red bags, and we will go meet her Wednesday at the train station.

It sounds American, but definitely not South-East US. In some places it reminds me of a friend from California, in other places a friend from Texas.

You sound like Jack Nicholson as McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. His accent has always been a mystery to everybody. The region is unidentifiable, but it smacks of heartland.
You missed a couple of r's, and the diphthong on the a's is all over the place. Not bad, though. Better than most British actors I've heard.

CharmYouI have no idea why 10 is the worst score.My apologies. Your interpretation is correct. I got this post confused with another post which asked for a rating of how thick the accent was, so in that thread, the thicker (worse) the accent, the higher the score.
