Here's the essay I wrote for the topic: My favourite season of the year.

Many of my friends said that they did not like summer because the hot weather makes them tired, but to me, summer is a lovely season and I love it the most out of four seasons of the year. Summer reminds me of the joyful time I spent with my family at the beach. When I was a kid, every summertime came, my dad used to take us to a beach near our city. We would go swimming until we feel all exhausted and then lay down on the warm and cozy sand, let the waves slightly caress our feet. Our dinner was always a hearty meal full of delicious seafood. Having dinner like that while watching the fiery sun slowly receding into the cerulean waters makes me feel like I was attending a royal dinner with my family. I felt like I never want that moment to ever stop. Now, as me and my siblings all live away from home and have to work all months of the year, our ritual beach trips with full family members gradually disappear. But when it is summertime again, the memories at the beach come back to me and bring peace to my soul. To me, summer is always a favourite and memorable season.
