Should kids get monetary compensation for good grades?
Money should not control you. You should control money, by giving monetary compensation to kids or in other words money in cash. That money says a few things to the kids whereas one of it meaning: “let this money be your main motivation.”
Young kids today have bright minds and tons of potentials they are the jewels that we should not put a bad mark on here, money is the knife that these jewels should not touch. Money cannot be their main motivation, the practice of giving money to children for them having a good grade after having bad grades, enhance the thought that money could do anything or in a sense, bribing. These kids given money learn their study materials and excelled in them but they themselves do not enjoy their studies or are not so driven about it, which then translates to their performance later on when the money is not present. For some of these children, the ones that have good grades before given money could change in terms of their personal perspective, they could change because of these money compensations since these children and even the teenagers are still very labile.
There are betters ways to persuade a kid to have good grades. One of it is for those kids to have a better society, we could take them to better schools which have a good reputation if possible, the easiest way is we could start from our own house by having parents and the people at home producing a positive and creative atmosphere in their day to day activities. For instance having a philosophy day every week, jogging everyday, the use of positive words and motivations, etc. And lastly parents should reflect the concept of having them, the school, and their child’s own future as the child main motivation in moving forward from the studies.
In my conclusion I don’t think kids should get monetary compensation. We cannot let kids be only driven by money, but with their interests, their family, and their own future. We all want our new generation to be filled with diligent, intelligent, bright minded people.
