What do you know about swiss?

I really like to know what you know and think about swiss/Switzerland.

I read something in the internet but most things I saw aren't really good. I read stuff from "boring switzerland" over "closeminded swiss" to "swiss racism is the worst in europe". Not much good things. Because of this I like to ask here what you think.

I have visited Switzerland, and have know many Swiss people.

The country is beautiful. The people are industrious, thrifty, independent and proud. It is a multi-lingual country with French, German, Italian, and other peoples who have lived in peace and harmony longer than any other European country. They have good health care and education. They are famous for their dedication to world peace. They also have leading-edge science and technology with the CERN supercollider being the most recent innovation. You could even say that the World Wide Web was invented there. Generally, thier policies are liberal and open-minded. Although there is some element of racism and radicalism, this is unfortunately a symptom across all of Western Europe - just look at what happened in Norway.

When I hear the word "Switzerland," I think of the best country in the world.

It is small; it has not been in a war for more than 200 years; it is unbelievably beautiful; it has a very high standard of living; it is truly a democracy where the "little guy" actually has a voice in government policies; and -- to repeat myself -- it is incredibly beautiful. (No, I have never been there. I have read a lot about your fantastic country and seen a lot of movies filmed there.)

This is not the "controversial topics" forum, so I shall be careful in the following sentences. I vigorously disagree with those people who accuse Switzerland of so-called "racism." I hope the moderators will let me end my post with this statement: I think the Swiss people look at the situation in certain other European countries and are saying to one another: "We do not want that to happen here."

I wish your wonderful country the very best of luck! (Oh, I forgot. Some Americans think that you also have a great health system.)

I have visited Switzerland with my family when I was 12 years old. There are really beautiful mountains, really delicious meals, and really kind peoples! Although I cannot speak French or German or so, every Switzerland people try to understand my broken English, and help me go to where I want to go. Still now, I think it was a nice experience.

By the way, do you know Heidi, Girl of the Alps? In my country, this is one of the most famous Anime. Since before going Switzerland, Heidi tells there are full of nature that I thought there is very beautiful place. After going there, my thought hadnt changed.

I.am one.of.the fortunate people to be born in the UK and grew up in a sleepy northern village,racism was just a word that I did not understand then later in life I thought it was just an excuse for incompetence,unfortunately I have lived in Switzerland and see.racism everyday and together with Swiss extreme
arrogance it's really a place to drive through and go anywhere but.

I'm really sorry how you feel about the swiss people... But you should know that there are *** in every country, not only in Switzerland. But there are also nice people in every country.

And what you said about the arrogance: Don't you think it's just the pride of the swiss for their country? I mean just take one look at the lovely mountains or take a bite from the wonderful chocolate they sell there. Who wouldn't be proud to be a part of this country.
Just give it a second chance and don't judge them for their love for perfection

Switzerland is beautiful!, i visited a friend in Zurich last year. There were lots of people from all walks of life. Green, blue, black, purple. Its 2017, nobody really cares what your race is..well at least not so many people. Travel and enjoy life, and i must say i fouund the people there quite friendly.
