Hi.

Mongolia is located on Central Asia and between of Russia and China.
Some people visualize all Mongolians live in wild nature and rise their horses and live without light and
electricity.. haa.. It's wrong.
but it's not. Mongolians seperates in 2 life style. first life style is traditional nomad life.
Mongolia consists of 21 state. We named Aimag. these 21 aimag seperated 300 little piece ( named soum) .
Aimags and Soums has a little town. it's their center of schools, hospital markets and other things.
Nomad people live around of little state towns. Sometimes moves far from their towns for change their animal's
grass or place. ( Sorry my funny english, i studied non-complete. i didn't tell my all thoughts)
Animals ( i think it calls different) are Horses, camels, goats, sheeps and cows.
of course their children study at school. half of population lives in countryside. others live in cities.

Second life style is Modern city life. Population is over 2.6 million people. 800.000 people live in
capital city Ulan-Bator. son fun, others live in their very big and wide country.

Mongolia's nature is wild and beautiful. Mongolia has wide steppes, High mountains, Gobi deserts, jungle and forests.
Gobi is dinosaur's native land. And there Desert's bear live. Desert bears are so timid the rarest bear.
it's fewer than chinese panda. it's very hard and to shoot their movie or photo. Like as Nuts
We named "Mazaalai". over 30 desert bear live in Gobi's hard environment. Now All Mazaalai disappearing.
So sad. And there wild camels and horses with other wild animals.

Ok. let's talk about Mongolian horses. Mongolian ancient warriors couldn't conquire half of world without mongolian horses.
Mongolian horses shorter than Arabic and Europe horses. Persistent and no tyring in long way.
In the mi summer Mongolians celebrate the Naadam. it's one of the biggest holidays. And we see the race horses,
wrestlers and archers. Wrestling, Arching, Horse are Man's three "strong thing" or "goods" ( oh translated wrong again, sorry)
In ancient mongolia, All mongol men acquire these 3 things. They must be good archer and wrestler at least
they must have with good horses. Now in modern age , it's not important. We prefer to acquire best education,
work by their wanted jobs and live nice. of course wants to be rich.. he he he. ( i am laughing , it maybe different from others.)

Ok let's go back horses. In horse racing, usually 3-14 year-old boys or girls ride their horses.
Race road is very long. it's over 30-45 km and very dangerious. But it's not special or extraordinary thing.
Sometimes non-experience children are fall from their horse. of course they hurts.
Children prepare with their horses for racing during 3 months. And bad prepared horses die in road.
But Mongolian horses never been die in mid of road. In old horsemen says: Horse's mind wants to reach at end of road and then die in line of "fininsh" ( end of racing road)
it's so sad. Mongolian people says horses are has mind like human. And Mongolians love horses.
But All mongolians are not horsemen. Specially city people can't ride a horse. But i ride horse not bad..

And what you want know about Mongolia? Please ask me. My English language is not good. but i'll try.

Are Mongolian all good at singing? One of my classmate are mixed blood of Mongolian and Chinese, she singing well. One Mongolian singer in China ,Teng-ge-er ( I don't know how to spelling his name in Enlighs or in Monglian), is very famous, I like his Song <Heaven> and <Monglian>,very excellent song. But I can only understand the half part of Chinese, the other part singing in Monglian. Do you ever heard that?

I have a friend who joined the Peace Corps and is currently stationed in Mongolia.  I remember him mentioning that Mongolians recognize three "manly" sports: archery, horseback riding, and wrestling.  Other than that, when I think of Mongolia I think of Genghis Khan and other conquerors.

Hi, guys. I am a Hohhot native from the capital of Inner Mongolia China and, Hohhot is the capital. I am a Mongolian Chinese, I cannot speak Mongolian though. the post refers to the republic of Mongolia, but I would like to show you something about Inner Mongolia China.

I think Mongolians are just like other people in the world, if American are not people who have *** with anyone anywhere, Scottish are not people who are drunk anytime, the middle eastern are not all terrorists. I believe We Mongolian are not people who are only good at singing, horse-racing and wrestling. some perspectives are kind of stereotype, we are just normal people who like to get rich, have a better life.

The life in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region China, is just like other cities in north of China. We have skyscrapers, magemalls, Shangre-la, pizzahut, LV, Gucci. acturally, the llife in Hohhot is nothing about grass land and nomad tribes. this is perhaps a loss of our culture, as I only can speak mandarin Chinese and, most of Mongolian Chinese who grown up in Hohhot like from 1980s can not speak Mongolian and have little knowledge about Mongolian culture.

Hohhot is referd as the capical city of milk in China, two top dairy companies are located in hohhot which are Inner Mongolia YILI and MengNiu dairy. the milk sales accourted for more 50% of Chinese market.

I am not familiar about Outer Mongolia, but many Outer Mongolian students studying in colleges in Hohhot.
