What do you call this kind of vehicle?

Hi,

Is that kind of vehicle carrying automobiles called car transporter, car hauler, or car carrier?

Thanks in advance.

Car carrier. I hate driving behind them. I always have an irrational fear that the cars will become unchained and land on me.

Hi

In the US I'm sure it's a carrier, as GG reports

In the UK, it is a transporter

And then I'd be driving behind one AND on the "wrong" side of the road!
