What do you call this kind of footwear

What do you call this kind of footwear which covers most of the forefoot but other than that is much like a flip-flop? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi

Thanks for the help. I'm sorry but this is not the shoes I had in mind. The shoes I was referring to have open front - means it allows toes to be bare. In such shoes you have a divider between the big toe and the remaining toes. Do you get the picture?

Best regards
Jackson

The other possibilities are: Sandals or Flip-flops (zoris) (with a thong between the big toe and second toe):

The kind of shoes I was referring to is a variant of flip-flops. The variant has a broad single strap which covers much of the forefoot. Do you get any idea?

Thanks.

I cna't think of anything other name for a flip-flop than "zori" - the Japanese name. Are you sure that it has a special English name?

Okay. Right now I don't have a picture but would take one and then let you see it. Anyway, thanks for all the help.

Thanks, CJ. Yes, sandal shoes is what I was referring to. But I thought perhaps there is some special name for this kind of sandals. T

Toe loop sandal - there isn't a one-word name that I know of.
