what do you call the teacher in charge of a class

In China, before college, each class has a teacher who in charge , can I call it the head teacher?? Or head master? And after college, each class has a person who manages several classes daily routine but does not do the teach..what do you call it? For example, if my math flunked, I can ask him\her for help but I can't possibly ask the college professors for help. And if my PC were stolen, I should also ask him for help. What do you call it? A teacher?? But he doesn't teach

In the US, we don't usually have multiple teachers for a class. There's the teacher, then maybe a co-teacher, a student-teacher, or teaching assistants. A headmaster would be like a principal in a British boarding school.

In college, the professor may have one or more TAs (teaching assistants) that instruct "sections".

In the UK, headmasters are not limited to boarding schools. They are in schools in general. The word just means a male headteacher http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/he
