An arm: the part from shoulder down to hands and fingers.
A hand: the part with palm and the 5 digits
I'm wondering what do you call just the the hand plus the first half of the arm, without the above joint section connects to the shoulder, what do you call that.
"officer! I found a/an *** sitting on my dinner table, I'm scared" , I'm trying to find the one word so people know I'm talking about the hand with the part below joint.

hi, you both were right, I just couldn't come up the name a while back. Below elbow should be 'forearm', above should be upper arm. Arm implys the whole thing. Thanks -Terr
