1. What kinds of peer pressure are applied to males and/or females?2. What kinds of peer pressure are exerted on young people in particular?I couldn't answer these questions because I didn't know what they meant.Thanks for explaining.

Your 'peers' are other people like you.
eg if you are a 45 year-old accountant, your peers are other middle-aged office workers.
eg if you are a 17 year-old high school student, your peers are other high school students.

'Peer pressure' is the feeling that you get from all your peers, that makes you feel you should be like them.
eg if all your friends are married with children, you feel like you should be married with children.
eg if all your friends like rap music and you don't, you feel like you should.
