What do the underlined words mean in the following sentences?

. The line graph shows a relative increase in the number of overseas students at the university.

. You must show the examiner that you know what the two axes represent but you do not need to describe these axes in your answer.

Notice: I never wanted anyone to do all the work for me . I had 22 new words from the text that included the sentences mentioned above, and I could look up my dictionary to get 20 out of 22.
