What do I need in a thesis?

Hello teachers,

I'm about to propose a thesis over stories that I/we have read in class but I don't know what it takes to write a thesis. I would greatly appreciate help as to how I should begin a thesis statement. Thanks in advance.

You should have some kind of statement that asserts a point. Then, you spend the rest of your paper defending and proving that point. Think about what you want to say in your paper.
