What did you do this week?

Hello.
I wanted to know if these sentences are correct.

What did you do this week?

What did you do this weekend?

Did anything interesting happen to you this week?

I'm not sure because some people say that we shouldn't use "this week" with Past Simple because "this week" is not finished. However, with "this weekend", I think, it may be different case as it could mean "the most recent weekend" or "last weekend".

All OK. The listener will most likely take it as 'this week so far' if he's thinking of the week starting Sunday. Otherwise, he may take it as 'the last seven days'. As for weekend, the listener will take it as the most recently passed weekend.

If you are interested only in British English, you might want to specify that in your posts. As it turns out, there is nothing significantly different about the grammar of the two varieties, though you may want to wait for one of our British forum members to chime in on the topic.
