What did she roll?

What does What did she roll? mean?

Here's my take on the possible answers: a dice or any number from 1 to 6 assuming one dice was rolled.

Thanks!

"die" is singular and "dice" is plural, but many people say "dice" instead of "die", so it's "dice" in the plural singular too.
A lot of people make that mistake. But one dice sounds like one mice to my ear, i.e., like one tables or one chairs.

Thank you Jim. I think I'll use "die", although I don't like it very much... I'd prefer dice. I mean, if I want to offer a die to someone. do I have to say "Do you wanna die?"... Hmmm, LOL.
