what did I expect who said it would be easy

Well what did I expect who said it would be easy? I will not let this defeat me. I will persist.

Does the yellow block have a sentence?
Or does it just omit punctuation for expressing rapid thoughts of two sentences?

No - you could say "Who did I expect would say it would be easy" but that's not the same meaning, and probably not what was meant. The original, as orginally punctuated, is simply not grammatical.
