What could he be other than

Are these sentences correct:

1) It was obvious that he was Christian. What could he be other than Christian?

2) It was obvious the he was wealthy. What could he be other than wealthy?


I think 'other than a NOUN' is fine, but here we have an adjective instead of a noun.
