What comes first?

0 I'm a bit curious about this, but don't get me wrong. Imagine this situation: You are at the gas station. This guy comes over to you and says he's looking for some directions. What grabs your attention first - his accent, what he's asking you, or his skin-tone and looks? Please be frank and answer spontaneously. 0-

0 Well, that could depend on a lot of things! For example, if he is a foreigner/stranger, then the accent/skin tone would grab attention! But if he is a native/national and has a funny/strange accent, then it could probably be the the accent which would grab attention.

0 I agree with Benita in that it depends on the situation. The truth is that whatever appears more uncommon 01del00his accent or appearance02del00 for the given area would probably grab my attention first. 0-

1font00 01font00I'll also have to agree with the two above replies. I think that you'll always notice a person's looks and accent before you realiza what they're asking you, unless, that is to say, you know the person who's asking you already.02font02font02br

I thnik it also depends on the country, gas station itself & the question:) Here are the examples to make my idea more clear: if it is a poor country with a high level of crime you'd be first suspicious about his real intentions hidden behind the question(maybe he wants to rob you or whatever), or it maybe a gas station in a poor district or the gas station is half-deserte
