Here are the ways that I would most regularly ask these questions:

1) What color is your hair?
What is your (natural) hair color? (If the person has dyed their hair)

2) What size shoe do you wear?

3) What is the brand of that shirt?

speaking of wrong, a friend asked me a question

Dangerous territory. My advice is never to acknowledge that you know that someone dyes their hair (unless they bring up the subject first). I was once made to feel quite humiliated after venturing into that topic.
