Does "what class are you in school?" sound natural? Or, should I say "In what class are you in school?"

Generally speaking, "In which ... ?" is more formal that "Which ... in?", and similarly for other prepositions, but in this case "In which class are you at school?" sounds stilted and unnatural even in formal English.
