What can you tell me about him? or What can you tell me of him?

Which is correct - "What can you tell me of him?" or "What can you tell me about him?"

Thank you

Both are possible, and they mean about the same. "about" is more common in everyday language. "of" seems more formal or literary – perhaps like something from a book rather than what people would say in everyday conversation.
