What can I add to Applied Liguistics?

I am planning to take MA in applied linguistics. i studied so many subjects about semantics morphology, stylistics, and comparative linguistics in a College of Enlgish in my country. The problem is that I don't know what i can add in this field. I hope you give me ideas about the possible reserarches related to applied linguistics.

I knew the thesis of MA should be chosen carefully. I knew some of you would be surprised of my request. However, I just need to take different recommendations and opinions from different experiences.
