What are the worst words in your language?

0 I'm researching "taboo" words around the world, in particular the cycle of swear words.  For example, in American English fifty years ago, saying something like "god dammit," might have actually been offensive.  Our culture has changed and this expression lost its potency.  Another example is the word Fu*k. 0 01font00It's hard to say! For 1 word "die", there are at least 10 words in Vietnamese to say! For just the word "black", there are at least 5 words in Vietnamese to express! Lolzz! It's not easy to say which is the worst word in my language! ^^02br

10Completely agree with you. I can't talk in that "bad" language either, albeit it happens but VERY rarely (if I'm realy got by something or someone 05100). Once I was asked by a foreigner to teach him Russian foul language, which made me feel a bit confused...010id111id10

well, the worst word in Chinese i think.... it's quite difficult to tell which are the top 5 worst words. There are lots of dialects which are very different from each other in China, they all have their own worst word.

???(ta1 ma1 de) i think it is the most commonly used cursed word in the north of China and those places that use Mandarine.
I am not quite sure what exactly it mean in english, if translated word by word, it sould be "your mom's" with the implied of sexual insult.

My mother tongue is Cantonese, people who speak Cantonese seldom use ??? as a cursed word, we got cursed words here even worse than that, my input method here can't type those words and it is difficult to pronunce if u can't speak cantonese. They are more incline to *** and human genital organs......can't belive i just said that

We have the worst in the world, and they are pretty widespread, especially in some areas.
Anyway, this thread about swearing is very very interesting, I believe we should start another in the section about controversial subject. The problem is that it would be an highly shocking and censored thread! We will see...

Well in Arabic there are many swearin words more than I can think of from the top of my head. I dont usually use them nither do my family or usually the society I live in, well to be honest some use few words (not the very insulting ones) when they are really ****** off. I heared my father used some words equivalent to "Sons of the b***h" once or twice, and I was shocked.

Educated people usually use poetry to insult others, peoms that were said 2000 years ago are still used and understood and believe me the Arabic literature is rich in peotry.

One last word, the words used for swearing in the past are still used now and they have the same effect. I cant think of any word that was abusing and it is not abusing now.
