What are the total points?

Hi. Please help. Let's say there is a man who just has decided to give daily points for daily chores well done to his two sons. Daily chores might bethings like making bed in the morning and cleaning their rooms. Anyway, are the tenses correct for the following example sentences (for the just-described context)?

1. (son asking his dad) Dad, what are the total points we could get daily?
2. (talking to one son at the end of the day) Son, your total points for today are XX.
