Hi snedig, and welcome to English Forums. I usually begin mine in any of the following ways: Hi John, Hi all, Gentlemen, Good morning Doug, Matt & Andrea, (I assume you mean the salutation, not "how to OPEN the e-mail" which I do by clicking on it.
