To begin with, social trends are caused by their distinction and society’s reactions. It is believed that emerging tendencies appeal to social groups by creative fad topics, and participants may experience the whole gamut of emotions. For instance, the creation of Tiktok emerging in the young community makes adolescents fascinated and amazed. Engaging in trends can make people feel a sense of togetherness. Therefore, if the growing trend is well-known, there may be a large number of participants.

The growing tendency may have both positive and negative influences on society.

The positive effect of the popularity of social trends is relaxation. For archetype, the funny trends on social media such as Facebook and Tiktok may entertain users after a hard-working day. On the other hand, the popularity of social trends may bring companies commercial advantages. Due to emerging trends, the business owners do not only some effective marketing of their new model but also get more sales through better marketing.

The negative influences of the popularity of social trends are crime increase and reverse cultural behavior. People can steal identification and personal information from plenty of trend members for crime purposes. As a result, the victims can be hazardous in their life and career. Furthermore, if the trend reflecting anti-traditional culture is bad for children, they will grow up without recognizing traditional values.

In conclusion, the reactions of society, as well as the social trend’s characteristics, will dictate its popularity.

[ 2]: The first sentence of a body paragraph is called the topic sentence, and its function is to define the scope of the paragraph (what’s in the paragraph). Therefore, we do not mention details in it. For example:

After that sentence, you should present each factor, explain it, and give an example.

Merge the two subsequent body paragraphs into one. The topic sentence can be:

Nevertheless, the widespread use of social networking has both positive and negative impacts on individuals and society as a whole.

Then, write a few sentences about the positives and a few about the negatives.

Remember to focus on substance (ideas, examples, reasons, etc), not on using complex vocab/phrasing. Do not try to inject vocab such as “gamut” or “emerging tendencies” into your sentences. That will not impress the examiner, and will only lower your marks.
