What are discourse error ...?

Hi,
In a test of detection of errors, candidates are asked to explain errors in the given sentences. After reading the mock examination answers, I found that the answers had such terms as "discourse error", "sentence error" and "part of speech problem". Could somebody explain them to me? Thank you in advance.

1. The two cases of error are ambiguous. Thesephrases could mean either grammatical or syntactic error. The difference may be important.
