what are differences between Either ...or and Whether...or?

Do you know the differences between two correlative conjunctions: "either ...or" and "whether...or"?
Here are two examples:
1. Bring either a Jello salad or a potato scallop.

2. Corinne is trying to decide whether to go to medical school or to go to law school.

Do they have the same meaning?

Hi Quangtn I suppose you can say they have the "same" meaning in that both entail a choice between two alternatives, but they are used in completely different contexts as your sentences very clearly illustrate. CB
