Hi, all. Are 'what about you' and 'how about you' completely interchangeable in this context? Which would you prefer?

A - How are you doing?

B - Oh, I'm fine, thanks.

A - That's good to hear.

B - What/How about you? I heard you got a new job.

Which would you prefer? Probably 'what'. But I sometimes just reply 'And you? or simply You?
