What a JAP

Hi.
I was just watching Eddy Murphy's "Doctor Dolittle" idly on TV. My ears, I guess, caught John Dolittle's newly adopted stray dog mutter "What a Jap" while John pushed his dog, who had just stuck his snout in, out of his and Lisa Dolittle (Kristen Wilson)'s bedroom when they were having fun.Do you think the dog meant "Jewish American Princess" and this was referring to his wife, or him, who the dog might have thought was spoiled, rich, stuck-up?
Or, do you think I might not have heard it right?

You are quite right. I googled with "Doctor Dolittle" and "What a gyp," and the research hit its script, finding the expression.
Many thanks, Clive.
