what

Hello ,

1. The party ended at 7 o'clock.

I have to frame a question to get the answer. I am given the question word "what".

Now, I think it in two different way.

a). What ended at 7 o'clock?

b) What time did party end?

Which one is correct? (a) or (b).

Thanks.
