Hi, I'd like to know whether"whatever, whichever etc. are pronouns or adverbs.

Check out: Actually, I don't know why they don't also list "whichever" as an adverb. Their example sentence for "whatever" as an adverb -- "go see a movie, watch TV, whatever" -- seems readily adaptable to "whichever".
