"we've done" vs "we did" in these sentences

During my childhood, cameras were already common but none of my friends had one, therefore, most of the things we've done will only exist in our memories too, forever.

"we've done" suggests a continuation through to the present which seems inconsistent with the phrase "During my childhood". "we did" is a better fit. Compare: "We've never owned a camera, so most of the things we've done [= done in our lives up to now] exist only in our memories."
