were/was come with verb+ed

Hi,
I'm glad I found a forum full of persons providing assistance to others free of charge and I'm really grateful to you.
I want to know what are the situations that "were-was" come with verb+ed
for example:
I was tired
I now tired here not verb but adjective
now I am asking what are the situations were/was come with verb+ed in the same sentence?
Thank you in advance

Hello Prose; Welcome to English Forums. The first case of the construction were/was + past participle is the passive voice construction. The second case is where the past participle is used as a predicate adjective / complement.
