"weren't you?" or "weren't you to?"

Hi,

Please tell me which one of these is correct: Can they both be correct?

- You were to confess something to me, weren't you?
- You were to confess something to me, weren't you to?

Thank you.

Thanks to you, dear fivejedjon! You've always been a help to me (and to many others like me, of course). :-)
