Weren't or hadn't been

Would appreciate your helping me out with this sentence:

I would take it if it weren't broken.

I would take it if it hadn't been broken.

Which is the right variant? Thanks in advance!

I would have taken it if it hadn't been broken.

it's another alternative, with the "taking" placed in the past too, but after that accident.
