Were/have been?

While enjoying the weekend, many, were not aware that pro-democracy supporters were still been taken to the camp.

Is it grammatically correct?

I've been knowing that HAS/HAVE would peg in the sentence with Been better than is/are,Somehow if you think it is incorrect
,What is your amendment that clarify the same situation and meaning too?

Regards

were still being taken to the camp. And maybe the second comma should be withdrawn. Rui (not a native speaker).

Hello,

maybe it should be: ......were still being taken to the camp. And maybe the second comma should be withdrawn.
