Were you gonna pick up?
If someone calls someone on the phone and she is long to pick up. But when she finally does, the one calling says:
Were you gonna pick up?
Is this normal to say to tease the one who was a little slow to pick up? Because I think I have seen this said before.

That doesn't make any sense. It would make more sense to say eg Were you thinking about not picking up?
