Could someone please explain to me the difference in meaning of these two sentences:
The drawings were uploaded to the server.
The drawings are uploaded to the server.
Which would be correct in the context when someone is sending an email with this sentence after uploading the drawings. Both actions are in the same day.Is it possible to use both? What would the meaning be then?

Probably the most natural sentence in British English would be "The drawings have been uploaded ...".
