In order to decide which verb to use, was or were, you first need to know what your subject is. To find the subject ask yourself who or what was or were found. Please ask yourself this question and respond to me with your answer.

Hi!

The subject is abnormal changes on ECG.
Thank you!

Is the subject "abnormal changes on ECG" plural or singular? (By the way, you changed your subject to include an adjective, abnormal, and a prepositional phrase, on ECG. Regardless, these additions do not change your subject which is "changes".)

:-( :-( :-( I added some info so the sentence becomes more understandable.. anyway, thanks for your response.

Can somebody please explain should i use plural or singular?
Thanks!

your changes did not change the subject of the sentence. The subject still is "changes" which is plural. Use a plural verb.

I hope you chose "were".

Confusion is the first step in the learning process.

You're welcome.

Hi Tiny Pixie,

It's a question of singular or plural. Either

No change was found

or

No changes were found.
