Dear all,

I would like to know which of the following sentences are correct. Kindly tell me the difference in the meaning of both.

1.If he were rich, he would have helped her.

2.If he had been rich, he would have helped her.

If he were rich, he would have helped her. Several times I have pointed out that this is incorrect spacing, but you continue to make the same error. Do you actually read the replies that people make to your posts?
