Were and are

"Simple polygons are either convex or concave. These two were/are convex polygons because all the diagonals will be inside polygon and this should be a concave polygon because some of the diagonals will be outside the polygon."

I think both are feasible, am I right?

ILE I think both are feasible were is distinctly odd, I'd say. Be sure you have the right context for using were . If in doubt, use are .

ILEI think both are feasible
were is distinctly odd, I'd say. Be sure you have the right context for using were. If in doubt, use are.

These (that we are looking at now)... are ...

Those (that we saw yesterday)... were ...
