We're talking about a past wedding that I attended. My friend asked me if one of my relatives was there or not.

I reply:

No, he didn't go to the wedding. Or

No, he didn't come to the wedding.

WHich is the right one?

I would have guessed that this is an Einstein-type question where the space-time dimension determines the answer. If the question were asked at the time and place of the wedding, I would think you would use

"come". If the question were asked at a later time or a different place, I would think you would use "go".r
