Went into

Hello everyone,

Could you please tell me if the verbs I used in place of "went into" in the following sentences imply the same meaning? In other words, is "went into" synonymous to/with the verbs I used instead?

1. He went into a comma.

- He got a comma.

2. His left arm went into numb.

- His left arm was numb.

- His left arm got numb.

3. He went into cancer.

- He got/caught cancer.
