Went for a job/work

Mr. A to MR. B: Where is your husband?
Mr. B to Mr. A : My hubby went for a job/work. He return home by 5 p.m.
or
My hubby went to office. His office timing ends at 4.30 so by 5 he reaches home.

Please correct my sentences and suggest me better versions too. Thanks in advance.
