Do WELL and PROTECTED go together? Is this natural utterance?

Look how well protected it is. There is no way to steal it.

This is correct. It should be used with a hyphen: "well-protected".

It would need a hyphen if it came before the noun (It is a well-protected place.) but not as it is, after (The place is well protected.).
