We'll make out/it/good all right

"Aw, Dad. Our makeshift dam is strong enough. We'll make out all right. We always have. Besides," complained Junior, "we've been as busy as beavers!"

Hi,

I have trouble telling make out, make it, and make good apart. So, is it the same to use make it and make good to replace make out in the above? If not, why not? Thanks.
