Well and Good

When I ask people how they are doing, they always answer "good". Other people tell me this is wrong and you are supposed to say "well" instead. Which is right?

How are you? (health) I'm well, thanks. Many, many people respond with "good" without problems.

Hi

In London, we would think of "I'm good" as Australian English - and that's OK with us

"I'm well" is definitely English English
