Welfare

Hi

A friend of mine recently sent me a sign that I have posted to remind myself: "The Universe Want to Help - Let Them". What this means to me is that while no one human agent is the exclusive source of my welfare, I can trust the universe to provide for my needs.

--- Does by welfare the author mean "good" here, or something like prosperity/well-being?

Only he knows for sure, but I would take it as "welfare" in the largest possible sense. That is, the most general sense. I don't think he's talking about food stamps, which is what welfare means to some people.

Suppose you were to say, "Only *** knows what we truly need." I'd define "welfare" here in that sense.

I suspect you may have misused "while" here.
Grammatically, it could be "Although no one human agent is etc."
or it could be "As long as no one human agent is etc."
or it could be "Sin

Yes, the word "while" was strange to me too. "Although" would be better in my view, but the author chose "while" Emotion: hmm
